About Israel
Whether you’re looking to visit, live or work in Israel—we can support your immigration needs at every stage of your journey.
If you're a foreign national looking to visit, live, and/or work in Israel, several options are available. Special permissions are available for those eligible under the Law of Return, which allows certain Jewish descendants to work and live in Israel.

- Business Visits: As a business visitor, depending on your citizenship, you'll generally need to secure a B-2 visa from an Israeli consular post before you travel; B-2 visas generally allow stays of up to 90 days.
- Work Authorization: If you're a visa-exempt national conducting short-term work in Israel, the Short-Term Employment Authorization (SEA) allows a stay of up to 90 days per year. All nationals can obtain a Short-Term Expedited Process (STEP) B-1 Work Visa for up to 90 days. If you intend to stay longer, the B-1 Work Visa is generally granted for a one-year period up to a total cumulative stay of 63 months from the first day of employment in Israel. If you're a visa-exempt national working for a Hi-Tech sponsor in Israel, you can apply for the Hi-Tech (HIT) Visa under an expedited process.
- Internships/Traineeships: Israel has no trainee-specific work authorization category.
- Self-employment: The B-5 Investor visa allows qualifying U.S. entrepreneurs to enter and work in Israel to develop and direct their Israeli business for an initial two years; it can be renewed indefinitely. It can be used to start a business or buy an existing business. To qualify, U.S. nationals must hold the majority of the issued shares, and you must be invested or actively in the process of investing.
