About Singapore
Whether you’re looking to visit, live or work in Singapore—we can support your immigration needs at every stage of your journey.
If you’re a foreign national looking to visit, live, and/or work in Singapore, several options are available.
- Business Visits: As a business visitor and depending on your citizenship, you'll either need to secure an entry visa from a Singaporean consular post before travel or receive a Visit Pass on arrival in Singapore. Business visitors on a Visit Pass must limit their activities to attending business meetings and discussions.
- Work Authorization: If you intend to work in Singapore - even short-term - you should secure a work pass before starting work. Work pass categories include the ONE Pass for candidates with notable accomplishments in arts, culture, sports, academia, and research, the Employment Pass for highly skilled professionals, the S Pass for mid-level skilled workers, and Work Permits for semi-skilled and unskilled workers. The Employment Pass and S Pass processes are subject to labour market testing, including advertising requirements and priority consideration for suitable Singaporean applicants before a foreign national is selected for a role or assignment, with some exceptions.
- Internships/Traineeships: If you're looking to undertake professional training and development, the Training Employment Pass (TEP) may be suitable. TEPs are generally issued for up to three months and cannot be renewed. To qualify, you'll need to meet minimum monthly salary requirements and have a training program in place.
- Investors/Entrepreneurs: The Global Investor Programme (GIP) is also an option if you have a substantial business track record and a successful entrepreneurial background. To qualify, you must invest at least SGD 10 million in a business; SGD25 million in an approved GIP fund or establish Singapore-based Single-Family Office with Assets-Under-Management of at least SGD200 million (with conditions). Alternatively, foreign nationals who meet any two of the following criteria may be eligible for the TechPass: (1) having a last drawn (gross) monthly salary of at least SGD 22,500, (2) at least five years of cumulative experience in a leading role in an eligible technology firm, or (3) at least five years of cumulative experience in a leading role in the development of a technology product that has at least 100,000 monthly active users or at least USD 100 million in revenue.
