The situation
Government offices across the Middle East will be closed due to the upcoming Eid Al Adha holiday as follows:
- United Arab Emirates: Ministries and federal departments will be closed August 19-23 and will reopen August 26.
- Saudi Arabia: Ministries and other government entities will be closed August 14-26.
- Kuwait: Ministries and other government entities will be closed from August 19-23 and will reopen August 26.
- Bahrain: Although no official announcements have been made yet, it is expected that ministries and other government entities will be closed August 19-25.
- Qatar: Ministries and other government entities will be closed August 19-27.
- Oman: Ministries and other government entities will be closed August 19-26.
Impact
Employers and employees should expect longer processing times for various immigration applications during and after the closures.
