The 2024 U.S. Presidential election received an unprecedented level of attention by Japanese companies and media speculating potential impacts on the bilateral relationship, businesses and geopolitics in the region. Following the results of the election, Japanese companies are now intently focusing on how the Trump Administration’s immigration policies could impact mobility, business travel and workforce planning, while preparing themselves for a series of restrictive immigration policy initiatives.
