Israel: Process for Entry for Certain U.S. Citizens with Dual Citizenship in Iran, Iraq, Lebanon or Syria

The Israeli government has announced the process by which U.S. citizens with dual citizenship in Iran, Iraq, Lebanon or Syria may apply for a visitor permit if there is evidence that the issuance of such a permit is of special or important interest to Israel. In order to enter Israel, these individuals must file a preemptive application with the Ministry of Interior, describing the reasons why they qualify for such a visitor permit. If approved, the individual will then follow the regular process in applying for a B-2 Admission Paper in Israel, which allows stays of up to 90 days. All other U.S. citizens with dual citizenship in Iraq, Iraq, Lebanon or Syria continue to be barred from entry into Israel.
