New Zealand: Updates to the List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment Announced

Immigration New Zealand has updated the List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment (LQEA). This list is a tool designed to streamline visa application processes (including the Skilled Migrant Category, Green List, and Accredited Employer Work Visa) by recognizing certain overseas qualifications without requiring an International Qualification Assessment. Effective June 23, 2025, qualifications from France, Germany, India, Italy, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Sweden, and Switzerland will be added to the list. In addition, the tool will be revised for qualifications from Australia, Japan, Malaysia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States to improve consistency and clarity.
