Nigeria: Nigerian Nationals Living Abroad Can Temporarily Enter with Expired Passports

Nigerian nationals who live outside Nigeria can enter the country with their expired passports until January 31, 2023. This concession is intended to allow Nigerian nationals to apply for new passports in country to ease their return to their countries of residence. Additionally, Nigerian nationals do not need to apply for the new enhanced Nigerian e-Passport if their biometrics have already been captured at the National Immigration Service offices at a Nigerian consular post in their country of residence.
