Foreign interest in roles across the United Kingdom has more than doubled since the launch of the country's post-Brexit immigration system. Launched in January 2023, the system is designed to prioritise getting skilled workers into important industries, such as science and research, with provisions for typically difficult-to-hire hard-to-hire sectors, such as social care.
