United Kingdom: Broader Access to Children of BN(O) Hong Kong Status Holders

Starting November 30, 2022, children of individuals with British National (Overseas) status can apply under the BN(O) route, even if the parent is not applying for UK residence and/or if the child is not part of the parent's household. Successful applicants will have unrestricted right to work and study in the United Kingdom, as well as access to settlement after five years of residence in the United Kingdom. The BN(O) immigration route for eligible households in Hong Kong SAR opened on January 31, 2021, with online applications and streamlined access for eligible applicants.
