Courtney is an Associate at Fragomen’s New York office with more than five years of immigration experience. She advises clients on all aspects of U.S. immigration law, including residency, nonimmigrant visas and U.S. citizenship, and focuses on cases at the intersection of business and family immigration. She represents clients across many sectors, including technology and finance, with an emphasis on start-up businesses.
Prior to joining Fragomen, Courtney provided in-house immigration support for a technology company and practiced immigration law at mid-sized and large immigration firms. While in private practice, her experience ranged from supporting the employment immigration needs of a Fortune 100 client to overseeing approximately 300 active individual cases including employment authorization, deferred action, consular processing, and adjustment of status.
During law school, Courtney was a FLAS Fellow for Brazilian Portuguese, held executive board positions in multiple student organizations and was recognized for more than 200 hours of pro bono services. She also served as a North Carolina Guardian ad Litem from 2011 to 2019, where she advocated on behalf of abused and neglected children in court proceedings.
