Gavin is the Practice Leader and Head of the Fragomen office in Johannesburg, where he is responsible for growing the Sub-Saharan Africa operations of the firm and ensuring best-in-class immigration services are provided throughout the continent.

Before moving to South Africa to lead the practice, Gavin was based in Fragomen’s New Jersey office between June 2013 and September 2015 in the role of Implementation Director, tasked with the development of a comprehensive client onboarding program, process definition, optimization and complexity reduction initiatives. Prior to this, he was the General Manager and Head of Fragomen’s operations in Bengaluru.

With close to 17 years of overall experience—15 of which have been in the field of global immigration, including vast and diverse exposure to process definition and deployment of complex and multi-faceted cross-functional programs across a broad spectrum of HR functions—Gavin brings a unique perspective to the table having played the role of both client and service provider.

Prior to joining Fragomen, Gavin worked for India’s most respected IT company for six years, including a three year stint in the United States. During his time there, he was the head of the company’s U.S. Immigration Operations team, which was a key user of the U.S. immigration programs. He was also the leader of the team responsible for the conceptualization, development and deployment of the company’s Proprietary Workforce Management System, resulting in an annualized saving of several million dollars.

Established Fragomen’s India Inbound practice with the expansion of operations in under five years, from a four to 50 member team based out of seven cities and servicing a total of 55 locations across India, including the capability to manage consular applications for India in 75 countries across the globe

Oversaw the client relationships and service delivery for over 275 corporate clients for the India practice  

Oversaw the project planning, conceptualization and execution of “Alchemy”—Fragomen India’s ISO 9001:2008 Quality Initiative, which resulted in Fragomen India being the first and only ISO 9001 certified office of the firm

Directed policy definition, new initiatives, implementation of best practices and continuous improvement processes within the organization

Regularly participated in webinars and teleconferences on Indian immigration matters and provided consultative and written advice on Indian immigration matters
