Giulia is a Senior Associate at Fragomen’s Atlanta office, where she handles nonimmigrant visa applications and petitions including H-1B, L-1A/L-1B, TN, E-3 and E-1/E-2 investor visas, as well as PERM and employment- and family-based immigrant petitions. As an immigrant herself, Giulia believes in a client-oriented practice based on deep understanding of the challenges and emotions connected to each immigration path.

Prior to joining Fragomen, Giulia worked at a boutique business immigration law firm in Washington, DC, where she assisted clients—from startups and individuals to multinational corporations—in various sectors, including aerospace, renewable energy, media, biopharmaceutical, finance, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and food excipients, education and consulting, on all aspects of U.S. immigrant and nonimmigrant matters. Giulia has experience in several nonimmigrant categories (E-1, E-2, E-3, B-1, B-2, B after sales, TN, H-1B, H-1B1, L-1A, L-1B, O-1, I-1, C-1/D and J-1), EB-1 petitions, EB-2 National Interest Waivers, PERM labor certifications, family-based immigration categories and immigrant consular visa processing. She also has experience with complex matters involving Requests for Evidence, Notices of Intent to Deny, motions, appeals and PERM audits.

Giulia has provided pro bono assistance through Catholic Charities USA, Human Rights First, and Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), where she prepared VAWA applications for women victims of domestic violence, represented defensive asylum applicants and advised minors from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala on Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) requests.

Giulia speaks English, Italian and Spanish.

Liaised with Consular Officers abroad to obtain emergency visa interviews for a high volume of L-1 and C1/D applicants for a time sensitive project for an aerospace client.

Helped clients overcome 212(e) denials by developing unique strategies, taking into consideration the client’s unique background and the post they would be applying at.

Helped clients develop clear, on point and complete narratives in connection with I-140 immigrant petitions filed on behalf of functional multinational managers.

Obtained E-2 approvals for startup businesses by guiding the client in every step of the process, from presenting a clear business plan to preparing them for visa interviews.

Successfully represented individual and corporate investors coming from Italy, France, the UK, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Israel, Australia and the Philippines, among other countries.

Answered extensive RFEs challenging the specialty occupation of the position offered to H-1B applicants.

Worked and obtained more than 100 National Interest Exception waivers for clients involved in critical infrastructure sectors during the COVID travel ban.

Helped corporate human resources departments triage their immigration needs, gaining a better understanding of immigration laws and regulations and solving complex immigration issues affecting the management of foreign national personnel.

Assisted a client with obtaining political asylum in front of the Executive Office for Immigration Review, Baltimore Immigration Court.
