Silvia is a Senior Business Immigration Attorney at Fragomen’s Costa Rica office, where she is responsible for providing immigration services, developing case strategies and counseling clients through their employees’ transfers. She is a Costa Rican attorney with extensive experience assisting top-tier corporate clients across a wide range of industries. Silvia creates close ties with clients, listening closely and understanding each client’s needs, creating a sense of partnership as evidenced by the continuous positive feedback received from clients.
Silvia has been working at Fragomen since April 2019. Prior to her current role, she served as a Business Immigration Attorney for the firm’s Argentina and Uruguay offices. She was responsible for providing counsel to ensure that international personnel transfers to those countries were successful. Prior to joining Fragomen, Silvia was an Associate Attorney for a renowned law firm in Costa Rica. Her fields of experience include immigration law, real estate, insurance, compliance and labor law.
Silvia was a member of the Pro Bono Committee at a renowned law firm in Costa Rica. She also worked ad honorem and occasionally on a paid basis at the judicial courts related to family and agrarian matters.

Collaborated with an important engineering client during the COVID-19 pandemic to get engineers/technicians into Argentina through the exception process, holding weekly team calls with the client and the workers involved and establishing direct contact with many Argentinean consular offices worldwide, to get a large number of assignees into the country whose tasks were critical in different locations in Argentina.
