Employment Pass Applicants to be Subject to Additional Fees

MYXpats Centre will be introducing non-refundable application fees for Employment Pass, Dependant Pass and Social Visit Pass applications submitted through the Expatriates Service Division (ESD) portal on or after June 1, 2016. Applicants must pay the non-refundable application fees online prior to application submission.
New and renewal applications will be subject to the following fees, which include tax:
• Employment Pass applications: RM 318
• Dependant and Social Visit Pass applications: RM 74.20
These fees apply in addition to government application fees imposed by the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
What This Means for Employers
Employers whose Employment Pass and related applications are submitted through the ESD portal should consider the additional fees in their budgets.
The cost of Fragomen’s related immigration services will not change since the new fees will be charged as disbursements.
