British Boarding Schools' Workshop
November 9, 2023 — November 11, 2023 | 8:00 AM — 5:00 PM BST

Location
Radisson Blu Edwardian, Heathrow
Fragomen Manager, Jonathan Hill will be participating in The British Boarding Schools Workshop (BBSW) taking place from 9 - 11 November in London. BBSW has a well-earned reputation for being the most successful way for UK school staff to meet face-to-face with many quality agents representing over 50 countries worldwide.
Over two days, school staff and agents have 28 pre-arranged 20-minute appointments, enabling them to meet personally with both new and existing partners. The meetings provide the opportunity for developing and enhancing long-term partnerships based on mutual trust and understanding. This is critical given the differences in nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
The Workshop was first held in Richmond, London in April 2006 and was very well received by agents and schools alike. The excellent reputation of the Workshop as a quality, targeted event has spread rapidly and it is now a well-established event in the sector's calendar, with two Workshops per year in March and November. The Workshop is now held at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel, conveniently located at London's Heathrow International Airport.
The BBSW was set up by Suzanne Rowse who had worked as the Marketing Director at a boarding school for 8 years. She believed schools needed a boarding-focused event to facilitate the recruitment of overseas boarders. Suzanne now has more than 26 years' experience of schools' marketing and is a regular conference speaker on international marketing strategy and developing effective relationships with agents.
