WARSAW, POLAND – 15 May 2025 – Fragomen, the world’s leading provider of immigration services, announces the opening of new offices in Warsaw and Kraków, reflecting the firm’s continued investment in key European markets. The firm will welcome Practice Leader Małgorzata (Gosia) Jezierska in May, followed by Partner Karolina Schiffter in September.
“Our expansion into Poland reflects Fragomen’s broader strategy to align our global capabilities with the evolving needs of clients in key markets. Poland’s strong economic outlook, strategic location and growing importance as a regional business hub make it a natural fit for our continued investment in Europe,” said Lance Kaplan, Co-Chair.
“We are excited to announce the opening of our new offices in Poland, marking a key milestone in our broader European growth strategy,” said George Koureas, Managing Partner, Europe. “Our expansion includes the hiring of a highly experienced leadership team in Karolina and Gosia, both of whom have a strong track record in strategic and transactional delivery. This move enhances our ability to serve clients across the region with deep local expertise and pan-European capabilities.”
Schiffter brings nearly two decades of experience in employment and immigration law. A recognized leader in her field, she is a frequent speaker at international conferences, a published author and an active member of a number of organizations. Her achievements have earned her numerous accolades, including recognition among the 25 Most Outstanding Female Lawyers in Business 2023 by ForbesWomen and the Women in Law Foundation.
“I’m honored to join Fragomen at such a pivotal moment of growth, bringing the firm's global capabilities to Poland to deliver high-impact immigration and mobility solutions to clients across the region,” said Schiffter. “I look forward to building a strong local presence and contributing to the firm’s continued success.”
Jezierska has deep experience in developing tailored immigration strategies, streamlining operational processes and ensuring legal compliance for multinational clients. She has a proven track record of managing high-volume, complex immigration matters across a range of industries.
“Joining Fragomen and helping launch the Warsaw office is an exciting next step in my career,” said Jezierska. “Poland is an increasingly important hub for global business, and I’m proud to contribute my experience in cross-border mobility to support our clients’ evolving needs.”
With its membership in both the European Union and the Schengen Area, Poland offers a range of immigration pathways for foreign nationals, including work permits for local hires, intra-company transfers and the EU Blue Card for highly skilled professionals. Its steady economic growth, highly educated workforce and thriving capital city continue to make Poland an attractive destination for multinational businesses.
The Poland office adds to Fragomen’s existing network of European offices, which includes operations in Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Future offices in Poland are planned for later this year.
