Update - April 14, 2025: The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) will be mandatory for all foreign visitors, including those from visa-exempt countries, starting May 1, 2025. Travelers will need to submit their arrival details online within three days prior to their arrival in Thailand. The online submission form can be accessed through the official Thai Immigration website or via the TDAC mobile application.
To complete the TDAC submission, travelers must first register online on the TDAC website and provide their full name, nationality, phone number, email address, passport details, flight number, purpose of travel, and accommodation in Thailand. After submitting the form, travelers will receive a confirmation email acknowledging successful submission. Upon arrival in Thailand, they must present this acknowledgment email along with their travel documents to the immigration officer for verification.
February 10, 2025: Starting May 1, 2025, Thailand will introduce the Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) system, replacing the traditional TM6 paper form, which has been suspended for air travelers since July 2022. This initiative will modernize the immigration process by allowing foreign nationals, including those from visa-exempt countries, to submit their arrival details digitally before entering the country. The new system will be integrated with multiple government agencies, including the Department of Consular Affairs, the Department of Disease Control, and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, ensuring comprehensive data verification and streamlined immigration and border control procedures. The TDAC system is designed to reduce processing times, improve immigration documentation submission processes, and streamline arrival procedures.
