Andrea is an Associate at Fragomen’s New York office, where she counsels multinational corporations on employment-based immigration matters, including immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, as well as labor certification. Andrea has experience filing petitions on behalf of executives, managers, professionals with higher degrees and other skilled workers, including individuals with extraordinary ability and outstanding researchers.
Prior to joining Fragomen, Andrea was an Associate at a boutique immigration firm, where she handled complex immigration matters, including family-based immigration cases, removal defense proceedings and various humanitarian forms of relief including asylum, Violence Against Women Act (“VAWA”) self-petitions and petitions for U nonimmigrant status.
During law school, Andrea served as Executive Articles Editor for the Brooklyn Journal of International Law. She also interned at the United Nations as an Advisor for the Permanent Mission of El Salvador to the United Nations’ Sixth Committee.
Andrea’s pro bono experience has included helping detained women and children prepare for credible fear interviews at a detention center in Karnes City, Texas, and partnering with HerJustice to assist women living in poverty with immigration and family law matters, including trial preparation. Andrea has also provided pro bono support to asylum seekers through Brooklyn Law School’s Safe Harbor Clinic.
