Jack is a dedicated immigration attorney who assists a diverse range of organizations—from Fortune 10 companies to charities and nonprofits—with navigating the intricate mobility landscape. His experience extends from handling large-scale projects involving the movement of hundreds of individuals to more singular-focused endeavors, such as relocating C-level executives.

In Canada, Jack’s services extend to a diverse clientele, including Korean clients who appreciate his and his team’s understanding of the Korean context and language. With a team of Korean-speaking lawyers, Jack ensures that cultural nuances are recognized and respected.

Jack also assists with CUSMA-related applications, intra-company transfers, Labour Market Impact Assessments (including under the Global Talent Stream), as well as process compliance and inadmissibility issues. He serves clients in a wide array of verticals, including the sports/entertainment, oil and gas, financial/financial services, information technology, manufacturing and professional services industries.

What sets Jack apart is his unique vantage point, earned through not only his prior government experience, but also speaking publicly about immigration matters in Canadian media. With Canadian laws undergoing frequent changes, Jack possesses the acumen to understand and decipher the legal and policy landscape. His ability to comprehend what government officials see and desire enables him to provide valuable insights, especially in cases where negative decisions or feedback are received. Jack not only understands the legal intricacies but also delves into the mindset of government officers, a perspective often overlooked by many in the field.

Jack’s business objective goes beyond the mere act of moving someone; Jack adds value by exploring all angles and suggesting alternative solutions that clients may not have considered. His wealth of experience in the field ensures tailored solutions that fit the unique needs of each client. And, his portfolio boasts a range of clients, from handling large-scale engineering projects to managing inadmissibility issues for high-profile individuals, including professional athletes, actors and directors.

Although Jack didn't begin his career in immigration, he found he was most-suited to a people-centric field that aligns with real-life scenarios. Through his charitable work, Jack helped build an immigration program where one was not there: through HanVoice, Canada’s largest charity devoted to North Korean human rights and refugees, he helped create a pilot program allowing North Korean escapees to settle in Canada.

Jack brings more than legal acumen to the table; he offers a holistic understanding of corporate objectives, a keen ability to empathize with individuals and the skill to harmonize the two in pursuit of a positive outcome. The value he provides goes beyond immigration solutions; it lies in becoming an integral part of each client’s team, committed to their success.

Jack speaks English and Korean.
