Juan Carlos is a Senior Attorney for Godoy Córdoba Migratorio S.A.C (Fragomen’s affiliate in Peru). He has more than five years of experience providing immigration advice to companies in various industries in Peru, including technology, oil and gas, mining and commercial aviation. Juan Carlos focuses on visas for appointed workers for specific projects and the hiring of foreign nationals as full-time employees for local companies, both as regular foreign workers and through special agreements through the Andean Community and Mercosur Agreement. He also oversees consular and document services in Peru.

Prior to his current role, Juan Carlos coordinated Bolivian and Ecuadorian inbound cases and document and consular services in both jurisdictions through the firm’s local vendors.

Juan Carlos speaks English and Spanish.

Successfully managed a manufacturing client’s regularization project of a number of foreign national employees with irregular status through the Mercosur Agreement, avoiding employment issues and immigration fines to employees.

Successfully coordinated all matters pertaining to Bolivia and Ecuador for clients in the oil and gas and pharmaceutical industries, including inbound consular services and document services with local vendors.

Strategized to efficiently complete visa processes for foreign nationals of restricted nationalities, such as China, India and Venezuela.

Assisted with the mobilization of Peruvian nationals and foreign nationals for expatriation in relation to employment, including support in document gathering and consular assistance for countries in the European Union, Southeast Asia and the Middle East in coordination with other Fragomen teams in various jurisdictions.
