Natalie is an Associate in Fragomen’s Government Strategies and Compliance Group in Washington, DC, where she advises clients on immigration-related corporate strategy, strategic litigation and enforcement defense matters. Natalie investigates and litigates a wide variety of immigration issues and advocates for and advises individual and corporate clients, ranging from highly skilled heart surgeons to Fortune 10 companies, helping each to navigate pressing and complex immigration challenges.
Natalie’s advisory work has included forming strategies and recommendations for one of the world’s most influential technology companies, such as on how to approach minimum qualifications for job opportunities. She has litigated cases and advised individuals facing challenges obtaining their visas, including high net worth individuals who have been denied U.S. immigration benefits and those whose applications require special attention due to complicating factors. Natalie is a member of the enforcement defense team that is defending one of the largest threatened fines for violations of the employment verification (I-9) program. She also regularly advises on immigration strategy for the Afghan migrant crisis.
Natalie came to Fragomen after attending Duke University School of Law, where she was a Student Attorney in the Immigrant Rights Clinic and Advanced Clinic. Before law school, she was a corporate immigration case coordinator at another Am Law 100 firm, giving her the ability to understand not only the legal aspects of the practice, but also many of the practical process areas, enabling her to have a 360-degree view of the practice.
Natalie provides pro bono services through monthly Temporary Protected Status clinics for Haitians and Venezuelans run by Office of New Americans of Miami-Dade/Catholic Charities Legal Services Miami. As a Student Attorney in Duke University School of Law’s Immigrant Rights Clinic, Natalie assisted numerous clients, including immigrant families and unaccompanied children seeking asylum. She also assisted a detained client with Special Immigrant Juvenile Status with their bond and removal proceedings, and another detained client with a federal habeas petition challenging mandatory detention under the Due Process Clause and the immigration consequences of client’s criminal convictions.
Natalie speaks English and Spanish.
