Olivia is an Associate at Fragomen’s Miami office, where she practices U.S. business immigration law. She focuses on nonimmigrant visas, permanent residence, citizenship and consular processing for a variety of clients, ranging from individuals to multinational corporations.
During law school, Oliva was a Fellow in the school’s Immigration Clinic, where she worked on removal defense cases, including asylum and withholding of removal. She co-wrote an Amicus Brief submitted to the Southern District of Florida addressing USCIS’ requirement that self-petitioners show shared residence with their abuser during the marriage. She also played a key role in filing a class action lawsuit against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) regarding the dangers that the COVID-19 pandemic posed to the detained population in three South Florida detention centers.
Olivia’s pro bono efforts have included handling employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant processes for an individual on Nicaraguan Temporary Protected Status working in the medical prosthetics field. She has also assisted families who cannot afford representation with marriage-based immigration cases.
