Sama is an Associate at Fragomen’s Dallas office, where she counsels large corporate clients across the technology, telecommunications and energy industries on employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visa matters.
Prior to joining Fragomen, Sama worked at a boutique immigration firm in Boston, where she represented individuals before the Executive Office for Immigration Review and Board of Immigration Appeals. She also assisted individuals with family-based petitions and represented them before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to help obtain their residency in the U.S. and eventual naturalization.
While in law school, Sama served as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Catherine Byrne. She also was a research assistant for the Center of International Law and Policy, where she focused on grievance mechanisms initiated by corporations to remedy human rights violations.
Sama’s pro bono experience has included volunteering at the South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley, Texas, where she prepared asylum seekers for their credible fear interviews.
