Shavini is a Senior Associate at Fragomen’s Melbourne office. She has been working in Australian immigration law since 2006 and has extensive experience assisting multinational companies with their inbound immigration needs to Australia, including advising them on compliance with immigration and sponsorship obligations.
Shavini initially joined Fragomen as a graduate and worked at the firm for a number of years prior to joining a Big Four accounting firm, where she also provided immigration services. She returned to Fragomen in 2017.
Shavini is experienced in assisting clients with a range of visa sub-classes and devising high-level strategic solutions and tailored advice to meet her clients’ unique immigration needs. She has supported a diverse range of clients in sectors such as energy, mining, construction, engineering, finance, retail, telecommunications and information technology.
Shavini also has substantial experience assisting individuals with their immigration needs and has managed a variety of visa applications, including partner, resident return, skilled independent, training and global talent visas, citizenship applications and health waiver submissions.
Shavini speaks English and Sinhalese.
