Changes to Telex VITAS Process for Dependents and Sponsor Letter Signatories

Dependents’ Telex VITAS (Limited Stay Visa Pre-Approval) can no longer be filed with the primary visa applicant's Telex VITAS application, which will prolong the overall processing time for dependents’ entry applications. Additionally, Telex VITAS sponsor letters must now be signed by a company director of the local sponsoring entity. These developments follow the recent policy changes made by the Directorate General of Immigration.
Dependents’ Telex VITAS Applications
Due to the process change, dependents must now wait until the principal applicant’s Telex VITAS application is approved and issued before they can file their own Telex VITAS applications.
If the assignment is urgent, the principal applicant can enter Indonesia while their dependent’s Telex VITAS application is pending.
Sponsor Letters Change
Additionally, Telex VITAS sponsor letters must now be signed by a company director (Indonesian or foreign national) from the Indonesian sponsoring entity. The director must be listed on the local entity’s Title Deed. If the director is a foreign national, he or she must possess a valid IMTA (Work Permit) and KITAS (Limited Stay Permit).
Previously, Telex VITAS sponsor letters could be signed by any authorized representative of the Indonesian sponsoring entity.
What This Means for Employers and Foreign Nationals
Foreign nationals seeking to sponsor dependents should contact their immigration professional regarding the increased processing times for their dependents’ Telex VITAS.
