Fragomen is pleased to appoint Nadine Goldfoot as Managing Partner of the firm’s U.K. practice, effective January 1, 2020. She succeeds Caron Pope, who is retiring after a distinguished career, including the last eight years at Fragomen where she has had a formidable impact on the growth of the UK and worldwide firm.
Nadine, who joined the firm in 2007, looks forward to building upon the success laid down by her predecessors, with an emphasis on continuing and enhancing the exceptional service given to the firm’s broad range of clients, including FTSE 100 listed companies, financial institutions, start-ups, and high net worth individuals looking for immigration solutions.
“It is a huge honour to be appointed Managing Partner at such a pivotal time both for Fragomen and the global immigration industry,” said Nadine. “As we look ahead to a fresh new decade, the geopolitical, social and economic landscapes are set to deliver new opportunities and challenges. Although our clients continue to face uncertainty, at Fragomen we find ourselves uniquely placed to help them navigate these complex times.”
As recognised global leaders in innovation across the immigration sector, Fragomen continues to expand and develop new strategies that will benefit both clients and the wider industry. Nadine will be working closely alongside George Koureas (Managing Partner, Europe) and Murtaza Khan (Managing Partner, Middle East and Africa) to form the Fragomen EMEA leadership team.
Speaking on behalf of the U.K. leadership team Nadine added, “Throughout her tenure, Caron has been an inspirational, dynamic and effective leader growing the U.K. practice nearly 350%. She has also built a culture of collegiality across the firm that we are proud to say is now part of our DNA. This is a practice I will continue to nurture and evolve as we innovate to provide clients with the very best counsel possible.”
With nearly 20 years of experience in the field of immigration, Nadine has extensive experience advising on all aspects of immigration law and represents some of the world’s largest companies, specifically in the financial services sector. She is also regarded as an international authority on investment immigration and has been instrumental in the establishment of the Fragomen Private Client Practice, which provides immigration advice and strategies to private clients across the globe.
Fragomen further prides itself on fostering and encouraging diversity across the firm. In the U.K., for example, five of the seven partners are women, which sets the company apart from others in the sector.
“All of us within the Fragomen community are extremely grateful to Caron for her steadfast leadership over the years. We wish her the best as she begins her retirement,” said Lance Kaplan, Managing Partner of Fragomen’s International Practice Group. “We are looking forward to Nadine making her mark in this role, whilst also building upon Caron’s outstanding initiatives.”
Lance added, “With the current geopolitical landscape making immigration issues increasingly complex, we can expect uncertainty to become commonplace over the next few years. In this context, our clients remain at the heart of what we do as do our people. I am certain Nadine will rise to the challenge with her exceptional fervour and initiative, guiding her team to thrive on new opportunities and challenges as they arise.”
