GENEVA – October 17, 2022 – Fragomen, the world’s leading provider of immigration services, announced today that it has opened an office in Geneva, Switzerland, its second in the country. The firm’s ninth European office will be led by Partner Timo Heck and supported by Europe Managing Partner George Koureas. Together with the firm’s global talent network, this office will further enable the firm to effectively assist both current and new clients across Switzerland’s 26 Cantons and their specific immigration processes.
“We are proud of our strong relationships with the Cantonal labor market and migration authorities, as well as with the State Secretariat for Migration – ensuring we set up our clients for success,” said Heck. “Geneva is an exciting new market for us as we extend our capabilities to serve clients on both sides of the country.”
Fragomen’s Geneva office provides strategic guidance on a wide range of matters crucial to the numerous national and international companies, global entities headquartered in the region and businesses with planned expansions into Switzerland. The immigration team also has extensive expertise advising private clients and high net worth individuals in Swiss immigration matters.
“The Geneva office represents the strategic expansion of Fragomen’s premium immigration services to meet our clients’ needs through local support and complements our existing European framework,” said Chairman Austin T. Fragomen. “We have a number of clients who will benefit from our new location and we look forward to providing guidance to new clients who look to succeed in this dynamic market.”
“The decision to expand our presence in Geneva is a key step in our overall European growth strategy,” said Koureas. “The city has always been an important economic hub for a number of our clients– many of whom we serve in other global markets. We are thrilled to be able to provide them with our high-level, expert immigration counsel in a second Swiss market.”
Heck advises clients in the information technology, fast-moving consumer goods, pharmaceutical and financial industries, as well as private and high net worth individuals, and is adept at optimizing technology to support clients throughout the DACH region. Koureas has led European and global engagements for some of the world’s largest corporations across a broad range of sectors, is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, and leads on the development and execution of strategy, operations and initiatives across Fragomen’s European offices.
The Geneva office adds to Fragomen’s strong presence in Europe and the UK, which includes offices in Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Frankfurt, London, Paris, Sheffield and Zurich.
