WASHINGTON, D.C., March 25, 2024 – Fragomen, the world’s leading provider of immigration services, today announced the establishment of its Center for Strategy and Applied Insights, aimed at helping organizations manage risk posed by complex economic, geopolitical and environmental factors and drive business success. The Center is led by Partner Bo Cooper with Chairman Emeritus Austin Fragomen serving as Distinguished Fellow, and Partners Julia Onslow-Cole and Eddie Raleigh as Senior Global Fellow and Managing Fellow, respectively. Harnessing the full range of Fragomen’s knowledge to deliver innovative data-driven insights, the Center will also advise governments and global migration policy organizations on facilitating access to talent through improved legal pathways and sensible policies, procedures, and regulations.
“We partner with our clients to help them succeed in global markets by staying ahead of the curve and navigating various worldwide shifts affecting business immigration and global mobility,” said Bo Cooper, Partner and Head of the firm’s Government Strategies and Compliance Group. “The Center for Strategy and Applied Insights will leverage the firm's strengths in economics, public policy, and business strategy to deliver tailored solutions and strategic guidance.”
The firm is also pleased to welcome Senior Policy Advisor Amy Nice, an experienced immigration attorney with a deep understanding of immigration policy, who will play a key advisory role as a part-time consultant in designing the Center’s initiatives. Nice recently served as an Assistant Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, responsible for leading efforts on STEM talent policy and is the 2023 recipient of the Edith Lowenstein Memorial Award for advancing the practice of immigration law.
“I’m thrilled to be teaming with Fragomen and helping drive this new initiative. The Center will serve as an important entity in the broader conversation about sound immigration policy and help provide governments and companies with actionable ways to retain competitive advantage,” said Nice.
Fragomen serves as an influential voice in the realm of immigration regulations and policy worldwide and boasts a deep bench of former senior government officials. The firm engages directly with policy makers on immigration matters and is frequently invited to consult around the world with governments and organizations involved in creating and revising immigration rules and requirements.
With the establishment of the Center, the firm will channel its cross-cutting expertise to pinpoint, forecast, and analyze global economic, political, and other events with potential impacts on migration, business interests, and planning to provide clients with purposeful policy and engagement strategies.
