Julia Onslow-Cole, former Legal Markets Leader and Head of Global Immigration at PwC, has joined Fragomen as a Partner in its Government Strategies and Compliance practice.
Julia joins an elite global team of 28 Partners within the Government Strategies and Compliance group, all of whom have deep regulatory experience and advise corporations and private clients. She has developed trusted relationships with government officials over the years such that she is able to liaise and negotiate effectively with them on her clients' behalf. Based in the London office, Julia will support clients worldwide to optimize global mobility strategies, enhance their compliance profiles, and leverage best practices in all critical immigration related policies, including crisis management.
"I am very excited to join Fragomen and be part of one of the world's largest and most preeminent immigration services firms," said Julia. "The current geopolitical landscape means that immigration issues create challenges for businesses, now, more than ever. I look forward to continuing my work with governments and working with the firm's clients to navigate this highly complex environment."

As head of PwC’s Global Immigration practice, Julia led complex multi-jurisdictional client engagements and provided strategic global immigration advice. Julia represented businesses at the UK Prime Minister's immigration stock take meeting and acted as an advisor to the Home Office on business, investment and growth. Following the Brexit referendum, Julia was appointed to the Mayor of London's Brexit Advisory Group and the UK Home Office EU immigration employers' representative group and provided expert evidence to the European Parliament. Julia also sits on the Society for Human Resource Management's Immigration Specialty Panel and the board of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Bo Cooper, Head of Fragomen's Government Strategies and Compliance group based in Washington, DC and former General Counsel of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, commented: “Julia brings a wealth of experience from her illustrious career as a leading immigration lawyer, including a sterling record of liaison between government departments and businesses on complex immigration issues.
