Fragomen Partner, Cindy Jen will be speaking on a panel during the 2023 NAPABA Convention taking place from November 9 - 12 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Cindy will be joined by various professionals on the panel, "WFH vs. RTO: The Struggle is Real for Diverse Employees, DEI Initiatives, and Employers," on November 11 from 9:15 AM - 10:30 AM EDT.
This session will address the tug-of-war between return to office (RTO), work from home (WFH)/remote work, and everything in between and its effect on diverse employees and DEI efforts.
Diversity: A discussion that will explore the relationship between RTO mandates and a company’s talent acquisition and retention efforts as well as DEI initiatives. How WFH opportunities opened doors to a more diverse talent pool and how moving away from remote work could disproportionately impact underrepresented groups.
Equity: Remote work may create consequences related to pay equity and employee recognition, that tend to land unfavorably on diverse employees. There can be severe repercussions for employees on work visas who choose to move or change their work location.
Inclusion: RTO mandates and its impact on underrepresented groups, who may face microaggressions, misgendering and a myriad of other issues surrounding for example, pregnancy or disabilities.
About the Event:
