No âmbito do acordo Advancing Mutual Interests and Growing Our Success (AMIGOS) entre Portugal e os EUA, os brasileiros com nacionalidade portuguesa agora são elegíveis para o visto de investimento E-2, que lhes permite investir e viver nos EUA. O diretor Gustavo Kanashiro, falou ao Público sobre centenas de milhares de brasileiros se qualificam através da cidadania portuguesa adquirida por ascendência ou residência legal.
O visto E-2 oferece inúmeros benefícios, incluindo renovações por tempo indeterminado, autorização de trabalho para cônjuges e acesso educacional a escolas públicas para crianças menores de 21 anos e um caminho para a residência permanente, desde que o negócio permaneça operacional e continue a gerar empregos.

Under the Advancing Mutual Interests and Growing Our Success (AMIGOS) agreement between Portugal and the US, Brazilians with Portuguese nationality are eligible for the E-2 investment visa, allowing them to invest and live in the US.
Director Gustavo Kanashiro notes in Público that hundreds of thousands of Brazilians qualify through Portuguese citizenship acquired via ancestry or legal residency. The E-2 visa offers numerous benefits, including indefinite renewals, work authorization for spouses, and educational access to public schools for children under 21 and a pathway to permanent residency, as long as the business remains operational and continues to generate jobs.
