Francesca has extensive experience guiding clients through significant organizational changes, such as M&A and wide-scale internal restructurings, as well as other major corporate initiatives that impact companies’ immigration programs and their foreign national employees. She has worked in close coordination with clients at a programmatic level to create and implement immigration policies through competitive benchmarking, as well as compliance and risk management. She currently represents multinational corporate clients in the financial services and consulting industries on all aspects of corporate U.S. immigration, including nonimmigrant visas, permanent residence and citizenship.

As a trusted advisor, Francesca understands that immigration policies, program management and compliance have a direct impact on clients’ bottom lines. With this understanding in mind, she approaches each matter with a commercial focus. Whether dealing with changes to policies or implementation of new programs, she partners closely with clients to outline the entire workflow and downstream cost impact, ensuring all details and associated projected budgets are clear to all involved.

A strong believer in integrating with clients as much as possible, Francesca works to understand everything about the company she is assisting—from their culture and communication methods to their risk appetites and overall corporate objectives—which guides her service philosophy and allows her to strike the right balance for the client.

Francesca started her legal career as a corporate litigator, but she pivoted to immigration law because she wanted to work more closely with individuals. She appreciates the opportunity to have a direct impact on someone’s life and to see how her clients advance in their careers, knowing she had a hand in their professional journey. As immigration law is an ever-changing, complex area that requires adaptability and agility, Francesca leans on these skills to successfully guide clients through various situations, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, which required a steady hand and creative solutions.

Clients often remark on Francesca’s empathetic, collaborative and hands-on approach, at both the organizational level and with individual employees. As a first-generation American herself, Francesca derives tremendous gratification guiding clients through the extremely complex U.S. immigration process.

Francesca’s commitment to helping foreign nationals extends to her volunteer and pro bono work as she devotes her time to CUNY Citizenship Now! working with permanent residents on the citizenship and naturalization process.
