Pamela is a Senior Manager at Fragomen’s Kuala Lumpur office, where she co-leads the Malaysia immigration team, alongside the Regional Partner and another Senior Manager. She manages a team of immigration consultants and analysts and provides strategic immigration advice to multinational and local companies on all aspects of Malaysia immigration. Pamela provides clients with practical advice to help them navigate Malaysia’s ever-changing immigration landscape. Additionally, Pamela is responsible for implementing process improvements to maximize efficiency and enhance the client experience.

Pamela works closely with local third-party vendors to deliver services in East Malaysia (i.e., Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan) that are consistent with the firm’s standards and best business practices. She also oversees the Consular and Document Services team and assists with business visas and short-term work permits from Malaysia to the wider APAC and EMEA regions (e.g., Vietnam, China, Australia, Japan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE).

Pamela is a Costa Rican attorney with extensive business immigration knowledge across multiple jurisdictions and diverse industries and has been with the firm for over nine years. Pamela leverages the experience she gained in various roles and locations to provide clients with comprehensive immigration solutions. She initially joined the firm’s Costa Rica office in 2013, where she supported the Latin America Regional Coordination Center and coordinated immigration processes to Ecuador and Venezuela. Pamela then relocated to Chile as a Senior Immigration Consultant, where she helped shape the newly opened office and coordinated immigration services for Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay. In 2017, Pamela relocated to the firm’s Argentina office as a Client Services Manager, where she also helped to build the team for the newly opened office. Alongside the Partner and the Regional Manager, she was responsible for the overall management of client relationships and ensuring the delivery of compliant, seamless immigration services.

Pamela speaks English and Spanish, and basic German, Italian and Portuguese.
