Prema is a Senior Associate at Fragomen’s Matawan office, where she focuses her practice on corporate immigration, related global corporate compliance and advisory services. She is an experienced and passionate advocate who understands the unique needs of multinational companies with a global workforce and footprint. Prema’s experience spans across various industries, including telecommunications, information technology, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and entertainment. She has a thorough understanding of U.S. immigrant and nonimmigrant visas and extensive experience handling complex matters.

Prema also has prior experience handling business and corporate disputes in the New York Federal and State Courts, having successfully settled several matters out of court through mediation. She has clerked for Judge Diane Clark Streett in the Delaware Superior Court and Judge Arnold New in the Philadelphia Commerce Court.

Prema is actively involved with and supports several nonprofit organizations benefitting the South-Asian diaspora. She is elected to be the 2023 President-Elect and the 2024 President for the South-Asian Bar Association of New Jersey. She serves as the Co-Chair for the TiE-NJ Women Special Interest Group, whose mission is to foster women entrepreneurs. She is dedicated to advocating for women empowerment and women’s rights as the Vice President, Board of Directors for Manavi, Inc., whose mission is to end all forms of gender-based violence in the South-Asian community. Prema also actively supports the tri-state chapter of Akshayapatra USA, a nonprofit organization that strives to eliminate classroom hunger in India.
