Manager Jonathan Hill and Associate Anastasia Vasiljeva join the British Boarding School Network to provide further understanding in relation to the visa and sponsorship requirements associated with day pupils obtaining a UK Child Student visa, and with the accompanying ‘Parent of a Child Student’ visa category.
Given the uncertainty surrounding the sponsorship of day pupils, and the movement by some independent schools to sponsor boarding pupils only, the team will provide some key information regarding the requirements and risks associated with the sponsorship of international day pupils under the Child Student route, and living arrangements which meet the UK Visa and Immigration (‘UKVI’) requirements.
