Courtney is an Associate at Fragomen’s Boston office, where she practices U.S. business immigration law. She assists corporate clients and their employees with their employment-based immigration needs by advising on U.S. nonimmigrant visas and permanent residency. Courtney has counseled clients from various sectors, including research institutions, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and universities.
Prior to joining Fragomen, Courtney practiced business immigration law at other Boston-based law firms, where she guided corporate clients through every phase of obtaining employment-based nonimmigrant status for their employees, including H-1B, O-1 and TN visas. She also represented corporate clients and self-petitioning foreign nationals in various immigrant matters, including PERM filings, EB-2 National Interest Waivers and EB-1 Aliens of Extraordinary Ability/Outstanding Professor and Researcher petitions, in addition to responding to complex Requests for Evidence. Courtney also has experience with visitor visa applications, J-1 waivers, marriage-based petitions and naturalization applications, and has represented clients at local USCIS field offices.
During law school, Courtney served as Evening Liaison for the Immigration Law Association and participated in the New England Law Mentor program.
Courtney’s pro bono efforts have included filing humanitarian parole applications on behalf of Afghan nationals and volunteering at citizenship and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) clinics.
