Lauren is a Senior Associate at Fragomen’s San Francisco office, where she assists clients in a variety of industries with nonimmigrant visa matters and permanent residency.
Lauren partners with clients to advise on a range of nonimmigrant visa areas, including for global intracompany transferees and H-1B specialty occupation professionals. She provides experienced assistance with nonimmigrant matters, such as B, E-3, F, O-1, P-1 and TN visas. In addition, she provides counsel on permanent residency matters, including multinational manager petitions, as well as the PERM Labor Certification process and other EB-1 petitions.
Prior to joining Fragomen, Lauren worked for a nonprofit organization though Temple University’s Immigration Clinic, where she represented immigrants applying for Convention Against Torture relief, asylum, withholding of removal, adjustment of status, consular processing and waivers for criminal convictions. She also served as a Summer Law Clerk with Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Human Rights Law Division at their headquarters in Washington, DC.
Lauren has extensive experience providing pro bono immigration services. She received a 2018 Pro Bono Publico award for recognition of pro bono work with Casa Cornelia, a nonprofit organization in San Diego, California, that provides legal services to indigent women and children who have been the victims of human and civil rights violations and who qualify for immigration benefits to remain in the U.S. Lauren also co-founded and co-chaired a U visa clinic in Philadelphia to help local nonprofit immigration firms prepare U visa nonimmigrant applications. Lauren’s pro bono work has also included: U visa assistance, conducting screenings for unaccompanied minors from Central America; handling cases for asylum; serving as a French interpreter for immigrants in USCIS and asylum interviews; and participating in Citizenship Day activities to assist immigrants in applying for naturalization.
