The UK government announced a 14-day home quarantine for all travelers (regardless of nationality) entering the country starting June 8, 2020, with limited exceptions for certain professions.

The quarantine will not apply to individuals entering from the Common Travel Area (Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man).

Health officials will undertake spot checks to ensure compliance with the measures. Anyone failing to comply with the mandatory 14-day quarantine will face up to a GBP 1,000 fine or possible prosecution.
