Government processing times for employment permit applications in Ireland continue to increase.
A closer look
- Trusted Partner Initiative. The current processing time for Trusted Partner Initiative applications is now seven weeks, up from five weeks.
- Standard employment permit. Standard employment permit applications are currently taking 14 weeks to process, up from 12 weeks.
Impact
In many cases, start dates may need to be delayed due to the longer processing times.
Affected employers and foreign nationals should start the document gathering process earlier than usual to prevent further delays.
