Mónica is a Business Immigration Attorney at Fragomen’s Costa Rica office. She works closely with individuals and multinational corporate clients, processing their legal residencies, work permits, citizenships, entry visas and exit permits, among others. She provides immigration advice on Costa Rica processes where needed.
Mónica has experience overseeing legal procedures related to expatriate employees in several Latin American regions’ immigration requirements. In order to enhance the overall client experience and match procedures and guidelines with the requirements and expectations of her clients, she has a track record of establishing strong relationships with them beyond legal jurisdictions.
Prior to her current role, Mónica oversaw a group responsible for enterprise solutions and immigration laws. She managed the team's workload and monitored project progress to meet deadlines. In addition, Mónica oversaw team development and implemented software solutions in accordance with customer specifications. She has also prepared budget analyses and invoices, and billed for contracts with clients and vendors, subscriptions, data-driven projects and consultancy.
