Iftekharul is the Senior Director of Fragomen’s Government Relations team for the Middle East and North Africa. He has been a core team member of the firm for more than 15 years.
He has extensive experience in UAE immigration policies and procedures and leverages this knowledge to provide trusted immigration support to a diverse range of clients across numerous industries, from engineering to manufacturing, banking, technology, and consulting.
Iftekharul maintains strong relationships with government authorities in the UAE and KSA, he is relied upon to resolve particularly complex cases or roadblocks in immigration processes.
Iftekharul speaks English, Arabic, Urdu and Hindi.

Experience
On several occasions, executive and senior members of client firms were denied access to the UAE due to their residence permits expiring while traveling outside of the UAE. To resolve this, Iftekharul negotiated with authorities to allow these individuals to enter the country and restore their residency status before their next departure.
Resolved a situation where a client VIP was detained at the Dubai airport by Interpol within 24 hours of detention. This resulted in the client being released from the police custody and admitted into the UAE.
