About Seychelles

Whether your company is sending employees to Seychelles or expanding your worldwide footprint—Fragomen is here to help. Our experienced immigration professionals partner with businesses of all sizes to develop immigration strategies that can help you achieve your goals.

  • Seychelles' immigration system provides many options for employers of foreign nationals. Requirements, processing times, employment eligibility, and benefits for accompanying family members vary by permit type.
  • Business visitors do not require a visa. Instead, they are issued a Visitor's Permit (VP) upon arrival, initially valid for one month and extendable up to 12 months. The VP allows activities such as attending meetings and participating in seminars but may not be used for remunerated or productive work. Business visitors should also have sufficient funds to cover their daily expenses and confirmed accommodation before traveling to the Seychelles. All travelers must apply and obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (the e-border control form) at least 48 hours before traveling to Seychelles.
  • The most common work authorization type is the Gainful Occupation Permit (Work Permit), which allows foreign nationals to reside and work in Seychelles. Applicants must obtain approval from the Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs at least one week before commencing work.

NOTE: Foreign nationals traveling frequently to Seychelles on a Visitor's Permit may be subject to scrutiny by immigration authorities if there is any indication of unauthorized work. The immigration office usually issues work permit outcomes within 1 to 5 days after submitting an application.

If you have questions, please contact the global immigration professional with whom you work at Fragomen or send an email to [email protected].
