Foreign nationals traveling to Seychelles are generally issued a Visitor’s Permit (VP) upon arrival.
Visitor’s Permits may be used for activities such as attending meetings or participating in seminars. Foreign nationals may not use the Visitor's Permit for any remunerated and productive work. All travelers must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization before traveling to Seychelles. Seychellois citizens and permit holders leaving Seychelles must submit an Embarkation Information Form before departure.
Foreign nationals intending to work in Seychelles must obtain an approval certificate from the Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs at least one week before commencing work, before applying for a Gainful Occupation Permit (Work Permit). The same process applies to foreign nationals seeking to extend their Gainful Occupation Permit (Work Permit) or change job title or duties.
Gainful Occupation Permits (Work Permits) generally are processed within 1-5 days after application submission.
