Ivory Coast

If your company is sending employees to the Ivory Coast—Fragomen is here to help. Working closely with our Local Advisors in the Ivory Coast, we provide the immigration strategies and support you need to get your employees on the ground as quickly as possible.

The immigration system of the Ivory Coast provides many solutions to help employers of foreign nationals. Requirements, processing times, employment eligibility, and benefits for accompanying family members vary by visa classification.

Foreign nationals traveling to the Ivory Coast to conduct business activities for up to 90 days require a business visa (Visa D'Affaires) and do not have to obtain work authorization or a residence permit.

Foreign nationals seeking work authorization must apply for a Work Permit. This approval is valid for one year and applicable to a fixed term or permanent contract. It can be renewed each year if the foreign national is still working for the local registered company.

Note that certain passport nationals are subject to a prior approval of the Security Department before they may obtain a visa.
