​​​​​• The Islamic Republic of Pakistan (Pakistan)'s immigration system provides a couple of options for employers of foreign nationals. Pakistan currently has a privatization program for government corporations that aims to attract foreign investment. Major sectors of the economy include agriculture, mining, and industry (IT, construction, textiles, and others).

• Foreign nationals traveling for business can obtain a five-year Business Visa through a Pakistani consular post provided they are citizens of one of the countries on the "List of Business-Friendly Countries" (BVL). The maximum allowable stay is three months per entry. Alternatively, nationals of the BVL countries can obtain a 30-day visa-on-arrival in Pakistan, subject to holding a recommendation or invitation letter from an approved authority in Pakistan.

• ​Foreign nationals entering Pakistan for more than 90 days or those seeking employment, must obtain a work authorization - Work Visa. Work visas are granted for up to one year with a possibility of extension.​​
