If your company is sending employees to Albania—Fragomen is here to help. Working closely with our Local Advisors in Albania, we provide the immigration strategies and support you need to get your employees on the ground as quickly as possible.

Albanian law provides many solutions to help employers of foreign nationals. Requirements, processing times, employment eligibility, and benefits for accompanying family members vary by visa classification.

Business visitors to Albania typically use a Short-Stay Visa, which allows stays for up to 90 days in a 180-day period.

The main work authorization options are the Certificate of Registration at Work, for listed activities lasting no more than 60 or 90 days; and the Work Permit - Type A for local hires or Type A/TN for intracompany transfers, issued for up to one year and extendable in two-year increments. A Certificate of Exemption is available for EU, Schengen, Kosovo and USA nationals planning to work and stay in Albania for more than 90 days in a 180-day period.

Detailed Immigration Snapshots, Document Lists and Process Guides are available to clients on request.
