If your company is sending employees to Cyprus—Fragomen is here to help. Working closely with our Local Advisors in Cyprus, we provide the immigration strategies and support you need to get your employees on the ground as quickly as possible.

Cyprus' immigration system is relatively restrictive and offers separate pathways for business visits, short-term work and long-term work.

Business visitors can obtain a Business Visa for stays of 90 days cumulatively within any 180-day period though in practice, business visits should be limited to 15 days per visit.

The main work authorization category is the Combined Permit. It is available to locally hired employees that meet a salary threshold. A labor market test may apply, depending on the size and international operations of the sponsor company.

EU/European Economic Area/Swiss nationals do not require a work permit to conduct work activities in Cyprus, but for stays exceeding 90 days, they must obtain a Registration Card and an Address Card. Employers must report these nationals to the Labor Office before their start date.

Detailed Immigration Snapshots, Document Lists and Process Guides are available to clients on request.
