Turkey

If your company is sending employees to Turkey—Fragomen is here to help. Working closely with our Local Advisors in Turkey, we provide the immigration strategies and support you need to get your employees on the ground as quickly as possible.

Turkey provides immigration pathways for business visitors, short-and long-term workers.

Business visitors require entry visas, unless they are visa exempt based on their nationality. Some visitors can obtain an eVisa, based on their nationality or immigration status in Schengen or Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development-member countries. The eVisa generally allows a stay up to 90 days.

The work authorization category used most often is the Work / Residence Permit, available for both intracompany transfers and local hires, and for both short- and long-term work. A minimum salary requirement and a local worker quota apply. The permit can be issued for up to one year, and is renewable.

Note that local authorities retain original documents. Originals or notarized copies, duly apostilled/legalized and translated, are generally required. All foreign nationals must hold a passport valid for at least 60 days beyond their intended stay.
