Business visitors to Serbia typically use a Visa C, unless they are visa exempt based on their nationality. Business visitors may conduct business activities for up to 90 days in a 180-day period - if they remain on home payroll.

The main work authorization category is the Work and Residence Permit, which can be granted for up to one year, and is renewable in one-year increments. Both visa-exempt and visa nationals can obtain a D visa abroad, minimizing in-country waiting times without permission to work.

Note that foreign nationals are advised to check process requirements with the consular post with jurisdiction over their place of residence. The address registration process varies among local police stations.
